Presentation Information

Oral Presentations: A Windows laptop and an LCD projector are available at the conference with Microsoft Power Point 2007 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 installed. You may also use your own laptop. Please inform the organizers if you need a projector for transparencies or other special equipment. The presentation time limit is:

  • 30 min for invited papers
  • 20 min for regular papers + 5 min questions

Please also bring this file to your session on an USB memory stick.

Conference CD

Where possible, the conference participants will be given the opportunity to take a Conference CD away with them containing the electronic copies of the participants presentations.

If you would like for your presentation to NOT be included on the conference CD, please email the organisers and discuss your needs.


Paper Submission and Conference Proceedings

The conference proceedings will provide the opportunity for our authors to publish a version of their paper in the TOP Biodiversity Proceedings 2010.

The submission deadline for your abstract is the 18th January 2010 (extended to 1st February 2010).

Evaluation of abstracts and communication with authors by the 8th February 2010.

The submission deadline for full paper contributions is 15th March 2010.

Evaluation of full papers and communication with authors by the 26th March 2010.

Submission of revisions (if necessary)by the 19th April 2010.

The suggested page limit is 10-15 pages (approx. 3000 words) for contributed papers and 20 pages (approx. 3,500 words) for invited papers, including figures and references.

Text should be in provided in a Microsoft Word 2003 (.doc) file. (click here for a sample in a Microsoft Word template format).

All images should be both embedded in the document and supplied separately at a minimum of 300dpi. Please label your figures in the order that they appear in your document as “figure1”, “figure2”, etc.

Longer papers will be considered but the editors reserve the right to ask the authors to shorten those where the length is not appropriate for the content.

Only papers presented at the conference are eligible, including post deadline papers. All journal submissions will be subject to an additional review process and acceptance by the journal is not guaranteed.
